This document has three major components: assessment analysis, TCO analysis, and a directional business case.
The assessment analysis examines the state of the current infrastructure and all the costs, complexities, and challenges involved. TCO analysis covers the costs of the new AWS environment. The directional business case presents new cloud architecture, possible migration strategies, and detailed TCO with all costs involved (migration costs, operating costs, education costs, etc.).
Assess report presentation is a summary of the Assess Report document. It is created for project stakeholders to get a high-level overview of the outcomes and key points to decide on the next steps.
The Mobilize phase is the second step in your cloud migration journey. This phase prepares your organization for a successful migration and modernization journey. During this phase, we migrate smaller noncrucial parts of your infrastructure, such as the test or development environment. The goal is to test the migration strategies, identify potential challenges, and create a detailed migration plan.
Following the Mobilize phase, the Migrate & Modernize phase is where the actual migration and modernization of applications and workloads to AWS take place.
